Jog-A-Thon

Our Jog-A-Thon is not just a major fundraiser for PALS, but also a beloved tradition at The Franklin Academy. This highly anticipated event offers bragging rights and has become a favorite among students and parents alike. With lively music, cheering crowds, and plenty of fun, the Jog-A-Thon is a day filled with excitement and memorable moments. Plus, the top runners in each category earn fantastic prizes!

How It Works:

  • Donation Options: Donors can choose to contribute either a per-lap amount or a flat dollar donation.
  • Beneficiaries: All proceeds go to the PALS Operating Fund, which supports family events, teacher appreciation initiatives, and essential community items such as updated playground equipment.

Volunteer with Us! To ensure the event runs smoothly, PALS relies on the help of volunteers. If you’re interested in volunteering at the Jog-A-Thon, please reach out to us at .

Your support is crucial in making this event a success and in helping us continue to provide valuable resources and experiences for our community.

Scholastic Book Fair

Each October, PALS hosts the Scholastic Book Fair at Markell Hall, creating an exciting opportunity for our students to dive into the world of reading. This event not only allows students to purchase new books but also encourages a love for reading among our young learners, supported by our parents and staff.

While PALS does not raise funds during this event, Scholastic generously matches the dollars spent with purchasing power for new books. This directly benefits our libraries and classrooms, ensuring they are stocked with fresh reading material year after year.

Volunteer with Us! To bring the book fair to life, PALS needs dedicated volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering at the book fair or serving as a coordinator, please reach out to us directly at .

Your support helps make this event a success and fosters a love of reading in our students. Thank you for considering this opportunity to contribute to our community.

Event Highlights:

  • Date & Location: Last day of school at Fisherman’s Pavilion, Squalicum Harbor
  • Activities: Games, mechanical bull, face painting, music, and more
  • Food: Delicious offerings from local food trucks
  • Purpose: An opportunity for TFA students and families to connect and celebrate a successful year before summer break begins

PALS Boosters

Out In Force – Dinner Night Out

PALS is thrilled to continue our tradition of Dinner Night Out, a social event and PALS Booster that brings our community together while supporting our school. Many local restaurants partner with us, generously donating a portion of the evening’s receipts to The Franklin Academy. We’re fortunate to have several restaurant families willing to host these events!

Why Attend?

  • Community Spirit: Our students love seeing their friends and teachers outside of school, making these evenings truly special.
  • Support Our School: A portion of the night’s proceeds goes directly to supporting Franklin Academy.
  • Fun for All: Feel free to invite family, grandparents, friends, and neighbors to join in the fun.

Important Notes:

  • Reservations Recommended: Restaurants can get busy during prime hours, so making a reservation is a good idea.
  • Identify Yourself: Be sure to let your server know you’re with Franklin Academy so your receipt counts towards our donation.
  • Tip Generously: We appreciate the extra effort our servers put in during school events, so please tip well!

We look forward to seeing you and your family at our next Dinner Night Out. It’s a wonderful way to enjoy a meal, connect with our community, and support our school.
